Carolina Assad

Carolina Assad is a singer and interpreter with a velvety voice and profound sensitivity. A native of Rio de Janeiro and member of the Assad family, she grew up surrounded by music and developed a style marked by intimacy and subtle expressiveness, crossing influences from choro, MPB, and classical music. Her career includes collaborations with artists such as Roberto Menescal and Yo-Yo Ma, participation in vocal groups and original projects, as well as bossa nova recordings that have surpassed millions of streams and captivated listeners around the world.

Recorded live in Brussels in 2004, this project celebrates the musical union of three generations of the Assad Family. On stage were the family's patriarchs Seu Jorge and Dona Ica, siblings Sérgio, Odair, and Badi, as well as Sérgio's children — Clarice and Rodrigo — and Odair's daughter, Carolina, who made her recording debut here.
