Badi Assad's debut in a multinational record label, the album brings together original compositions and classics of Brazilian music—such as "Ponta de Areia" by Milton Nascimento and Fernando Brant. With a mix of pop, flamenco, and jazz, the album showcases Badi's vocal and instrumental versatility. The track "Waves" was included in the soundtrack of the film It Runs in the Family, starring Kirk and Michael Douglas.
