Cantos de Casa
2014

Cantos de Casa

Cantos de Casa is Badi Assad's first children's album — entirely original — celebrating the playful world of childhood by narrating a typical day in the life of a child, from waking up to bedtime. A key feature of the project is the use of household objects as instruments, matching the environment described in each song. For example, in "Salvador Dalí" and "Vamos Tomar Banho," which take place in the bathroom, sounds are made with toothbrushes, PVC pipes, copper tubes, and other everyday percussive elements. The album won the Cata-Vento Award from Fundação Padre Anchieta as Best Children's Album of the Year.
